Have you ever stopped to wonder why you didn’t follow your dreams when you were young? Perhaps you spent a lot of time listening to your parents or just the peir pressure that is so strong at the younger ages. I know when I told my parents what I wanted to do, they always told me you can’t make money doing that.
My point is, don’t you owe it yourself to pursue your dreams and not allow others to direct you with their opinions of what they feel you should be doing with your life. Over the years affiliate marketing has been tagged as a pyramid scheme and many other illegal titles. Again this comes from other peoples insecurities and stories that they have heard. People like to push their beliefs on friends and family when they don’t understand or have an interest in what you are doing. Parents are a good example of this. Which drives me back to the question, what dreams did you have for yourself? Why would you think it’s to late? Everything you do and think is based on a belief system that has been programed in you over the years. It is hard to break the code so that you can think freely and achieve your dreams, but it takes will and desire. Everyone has this ability, it is just stronger in some than others. Why not start a home based business? Did someone tell you it couldn’t be done? Who are you going to believe, you or them? Before you can acheive you must first believe in yourself.
Quit allowing other people to mold your beliefs and take control of your life. You owe it yourself and your family to be successful. You have to want it bad enough, so what are you going to do so you get hungry for it?

I’ve been marketing for a while now and try to find new ideas and niches for my home business that are not traveled. It seems that so many people use the same techniques over and over again to interest you into the business.
Here are some items that are over used that I feel can be put to bed finally.
1. Stop using the bugging friends and family story.
2. Stop using the cold calling scenario
3. Stop saying the business builds itself plug and play
4. Stop saying that there is no more phone calls.
There are more examples, however, these are the big four I see over use of. Let me explain, since marketing on the Internet has become key to the 21st century, affiliate marketers now use PPC adds, Blog sites and e mail marketing to name a few. The cold calling and bugging friends and family is a thing of the past, and everyone knows this. Stop telling people what they already know. The next are all just plain myths of making money. No business works on plug and play, and if you never intend on calling people, you’ll never sponsor any prospects to your business. There is still and always will be worked involved with running a home based business of this nature. It’s true that people are looking for the lazy rich lifestyle, but people need to realize this doesn’t exist. It is false to think it does. This is why so many marketers enter a business and fail. Advertise real and original scenarios to solve the customers problems. People need to know they must work to succeed.
Come up with new ideas to market your business, people keep seeing the same thing over and over again. What people need is something new and original, and since so many internet marketers keep doing the rerun marketing concept, you are at an advantage if you do something new, go for it.

You can now use video to send to your prospects to your home based business. Thanks to EyeJot, you can now just record a video and send it on the spot. It’s great because you can make it personal and talk right to the person using their name. It also let’s you know when they watched the e-mail so you can send them another while you know they are on line. The best way to build your business is to catch people while they are in the process of looking at business opportunities. If you wait you could miss the moment and find them at a bad time. Timing is everything. The personal video is also great because it is special to them, and will make them feel more important. It is also a good system because some people get defensive on the phone when they think they are being sold on something. It will help tare down the wall, so eventually will be able to talk to them.
Marketing on line is always changing, and keeping you ears open to new techniques is so important. If you catch it in the beginning, people will be impressed with you and this could cause interest in you and your business.

It is important to stay up on the latest technology when it comes to marketing your home based business. Affiliate Marketing can become a breeze when you just stay in touch with the current trends and utilize them.
The video is a very common use item recently, not so much in the earlier years of marketing, but there is so much a person can do to take advantage of the video. There is a site I utilize called Eye Jot Video Email where you can send an email to someone who has just opted into your website. What an easy way to utilize the video to make money! You can make a video on the spot with a web cam. Personalize it by talking to the person that came to your site and saying thanks, with a quick message to them about a webinar or whatever else you would like to promote. If you can get them right after they have opted in, you can really catch their attention while they have you fresh in mind. There is so much more being developed all the time with technology, you just have to grab a hold and do it. You can really impress people with this kind of stuff!
The next time you want to interact with someone in the wee hours of the night without a phone call, send them a video. If you know they are on line, this is perfect, they can check you out without disturbing anyone who may be sleeping

Have you ever found yourself in one of those moods where you can’t concentrate because you have other things on your mind. This can make you unproductive with your home business, and anything else you may need to do. I’ve learned a valuable tool that can stop this issue.
The next time you find yourself feeling hum drum, make yourself think about other items that motivate you, or can put your mind onto something else. Think about all the things you want to do with the money you make in your internet business. Close your eyes and go to that great vacation spot that you really love. Think about the things that make you smile and laugh. As you do this, you will start to carry yourself further from your negative disposition. Then start to move into your work, and as you progress into it you should find yourself more and more driven toward the accomplishment you are hungry for. Once you get the wheels in motion you will find that you start to forget the dragging thoughts and actually build up the momentum to accomplish the goals you set out.
With the right tools, there is no mountain you can’t climb. The more you practice a technique like this, the better you get and the more powerful your mind will become. It’s all mind over matter, so exercise it!

The essence of Affiliate marketing rests on the realities of team work. A majority of marketers enter the realms without having any clue that real work is involved with your home based business. You will hear some organizations tell you that they are plug and play, and you do virtually nothing, don’t believe it. If this was true everyone would be doing this.
The bottom line is, you have to have something to offer before you can build your internet business, and I’m not talking just your product. I mean you. One of the most important things you need to be able to do is offer your recruits support and show them success within the first few weeks they join you. If you recruit with no support you will not make money, and eventually your business will die. The fact is, if you have a reputation for being successful in business building, people will seek you out. They will be calling you to joint your business, and not the other way around. People want to make the decision to join, they don’t want to be chased. Once you can provide people with benefits, your business will grow. This is why you only hear about a handful of successful markets in this marketing world. It really doesn’t take much to get ahead of the competition since most of them don’t know what they are doing any way, so when you have this extra perk to offer, you have already entered the top echelon of marketing gurus.
Take your business to the top, market yourself, and show your benefits to your customers. If you do this, you will find yourself a much happier marketer in the long run.

One of the most important things to remember when you start your own home business is that you must become a leader. Your internet business will not thrive unless you declare this. If people looking to become a business partner with you see that you are not taking on this roll, they will not follow you, and your business will starve.
Affiliate marketing is about attraction marketing, no one is attracted to someone who has nothing to offer, because a good leader has much to learn from. This is why it is important to become good at a system, read and learn as much as you can so that you can offer more and more to the world. People are naturally attracted to someone who carries positive leadership skills. There will never be a business that is lead by a person lacking these skills that can prove to be successful, unless they are good at attracting leaders into their opportunity. Leadership is a learned skill that can be acquired by anyone who transforms their mindset and decides to lead the pack. A follower will not succeed until they transform what they learn into leadership skills of their own, and begin to attract others who are looking to learn from them.
In short, if you wish to become a leader, you must first believe in yourself and make the changes necessary to do so. You must practice the skills, as they will become second nature, and you will then have more to offer the world, and your own success.

One thing some home business owners forget to do is, listen to the customer. They will tell you exactly what they would like, if you are not offering or are missing an important piece of the marketing puzzle. All you have to do is ask!
So you have prospects coming to your internet business website, but they are not buying. You are hopefully taking in information from them on an opt in page. You want to start making money from your web site, but don’t know why it’s not converting. Simple, take the information from the opt in data base, send the person a survey asking them what they were looking for, what they did and didn’t like about your web page, and of course any other information that may help you to understand what the internal conversation of your customer is. Learn from this survey, and tweak your business to conform to what your customers really are looking for. You will never make money if you don’t. If you know what they want and are thinking, you can offer them exactly what they came for, make the sale, and build the trust you need from them for repeat business. Remember, if you don’t someone else will. You deserve the business and they deserve your excellent service and product.
So if you are wondering what is holding you back from success, it may really be a simple answer, but you may never know if you don’t ask. Stay ahead of the game, and give people what they are really looking for.

Test are proving that in affiliate marketing, the most successful advertising has video on it. It seems the old way of writing a long ad with a compelling story no longer holds water when compared to an advertisement with video content. Maybe people don’t want to spend any time reading about how to make money any more.
Two ads were tested side by side for a home based business opportunity, one with a video and another without. The ad with the video actually pulled 50% more sales than that without the video. Kind of amazing if you think about it. Then another test was done to see if a video that gave the user the control over starting the video, over the video that started on its own. The video that started up on its own actually pulled more weight. This is probably because it doesn’t give the prospect time to think about what they are seeing. Testing your marketing really does pay off as you can see. I think that the main reason many people don’t use video is because they don’t know what to say or do on it, or maybe they get a bit camera shy. If this is the case, there are many power point shows that have been put into video form. All yo u have to do is ad voice.
The bottom line, if you want to create a successful landing page, your chances of success are greater if you implement video into your ads. It keeps your prospects interest and increases the money you can make with your internet business.

95% of new affiliates that start a home business have no idea what they are doing. Most new businesses are missing the crucial part of their birth since the up line does nothing to help them. Some newbies enter thinking all they have to do is recruit and they are done. I’m afraid it’s not that easy. It is impossible to recruit when you don’t know how to begin. Once you get past the point where you learn to start building your opt in list, it is important to call them, and this is what most beginners want to avoid and since their up line wasn’t taught any different, there is no up stream support.
Just because someone opts into your capture page does not mean they want to join your business. You actually need to perform your own interview, not a sales call, but a real interview to see if they are the kind of person that would make a good partner in your business. You need to pick up the phone and call. Once you find new people that work as partners in your affiliate business, and they choose to join you, you must be prepared to work with them, and help them to start out on the right foot. If they see no progress, make no money etc, they will become dead weight to you, and shortly drop out of the business.
It is important to start your people out correctly, so they can duplicate the way you trained them, and do the same for the people they recruit in their internet business. This is how huge organizations are built. This technique will create a well oiled machine.
