Have you ever stopped to wonder why you didn’t follow your dreams when you were young? Perhaps you spent a lot of time listening to your parents or just the peir pressure that is so strong at the younger ages. I know when I told my parents what I wanted to do, they always told me you can’t make money doing that.
My point is, don’t you owe it yourself to pursue your dreams and not allow others to direct you with their opinions of what they feel you should be doing with your life. Over the years affiliate marketing has been tagged as a pyramid scheme and many other illegal titles. Again this comes from other peoples insecurities and stories that they have heard. People like to push their beliefs on friends and family when they don’t understand or have an interest in what you are doing. Parents are a good example of this. Which drives me back to the question, what dreams did you have for yourself? Why would you think it’s to late? Everything you do and think is based on a belief system that has been programed in you over the years. It is hard to break the code so that you can think freely and achieve your dreams, but it takes will and desire. Everyone has this ability, it is just stronger in some than others. Why not start a home based business? Did someone tell you it couldn’t be done? Who are you going to believe, you or them? Before you can acheive you must first believe in yourself.
Quit allowing other people to mold your beliefs and take control of your life. You owe it yourself and your family to be successful. You have to want it bad enough, so what are you going to do so you get hungry for it?

Have you ever wondered why so many people fail at their home business? There is such a simple reason, it isn’t even funny. Are you ready…it’s called taking action. This is the key to success, without it you have nothing.
I can describe it as this, if you don’t turn the key to start your car, it will not start. It’s the same with anything you do in life. If you want to make money in the real world, you have to take action or nothing happens. Every day you have to market your product, you have to get your name out there. Make a video, write a blog, find your niche and run with it. It is the only way to make it happen and make it fun. If you find the joy in what you are doing, it will make your life so much easier and make you so much happier. When you are happy, it makes it so much easier to do what you need to do to get to the top. Affiliate marketing is only as hard as you make it, test everything you do, see what works. With the technology of the internet, there really is no excuse for not being able to test. There are free tools, and paid tools, it’s what works for you.
No matter what you do in this world, the only way to get from point A to B is to do something. Most people don’t do what they need to do when they don’t understand, or are afraid to take the first step. Make every day a productive day, do something about what you want in life by doing something, simply take action, you’ll be glad you did.

I’ve been marketing for a while now and try to find new ideas and niches for my home business that are not traveled. It seems that so many people use the same techniques over and over again to interest you into the business.
Here are some items that are over used that I feel can be put to bed finally.
1. Stop using the bugging friends and family story.
2. Stop using the cold calling scenario
3. Stop saying the business builds itself plug and play
4. Stop saying that there is no more phone calls.
There are more examples, however, these are the big four I see over use of. Let me explain, since marketing on the Internet has become key to the 21st century, affiliate marketers now use PPC adds, Blog sites and e mail marketing to name a few. The cold calling and bugging friends and family is a thing of the past, and everyone knows this. Stop telling people what they already know. The next are all just plain myths of making money. No business works on plug and play, and if you never intend on calling people, you’ll never sponsor any prospects to your business. There is still and always will be worked involved with running a home based business of this nature. It’s true that people are looking for the lazy rich lifestyle, but people need to realize this doesn’t exist. It is false to think it does. This is why so many marketers enter a business and fail. Advertise real and original scenarios to solve the customers problems. People need to know they must work to succeed.
Come up with new ideas to market your business, people keep seeing the same thing over and over again. What people need is something new and original, and since so many internet marketers keep doing the rerun marketing concept, you are at an advantage if you do something new, go for it.

Have you ever heard the term,”‘kicking a dead horse”? This is what I’m getting at with this blog, we’re all guilty of it, and the success of our home based business is reliant on us excepting it. Here is what I’m saying in short, if the marketing concept you are using isn’t making money, change it.
I’m not really saying to dump the marketing style, but take another look at it. Why is it not working? Change parts of it until you see results. If you never see results, then move on to another style of marketing. You’d be surprised at what a small change here or there may do for you. Look at PPC marketing for instance. A low click rate, may be a bad advertisement that is not catching the eye of what is being searched for in the search engine. Maybe you have a lot of clicks, and no opt in. This may tell you the landing page is not doing its job. Maybe the wording, the video, or the landing page itself has nothing to do with the question the person searching the net is looking for. In this case change your landing page to hold the interest. This concept works with any marketing approach, but you have to use common sense to make it work.
Remember there is a lot of competition, so you have to think fast to get ahead. Treat it like you are in hurry, you want to beat the competitor to the punch. Tweak, change or whatever you want to call it. If you are getting no results, quit “kicking a dead horse”, and change what you are doing. This is how you get results!

It’s great because you can make it personal and talk right to the person using their name. It also let’s you know when they watched the e-mail so you can send them another while you know they are on line. The best way to build your business is to catch people while they are in the process of looking at business opportunities. If you wait you could miss the moment and find them at a bad time. Timing is everything. The personal video is also great because it is special to them, and will make them feel more important. It is also a good system because some people get defensive on the phone when they think they are being sold on something. It will help tare down the wall, so eventually will be able to talk to them.
Marketing on line is always changing, and keeping you ears open to new techniques is so important. If you catch it in the beginning, people will be impressed with you and this could cause interest in you and your business.

It is important to stay up on the latest technology when it comes to marketing your home based business. Affiliate Marketing can become a breeze when you just stay in touch with the current trends and utilize them.
The video is a very common use item recently, not so much in the earlier years of marketing, but there is so much a person can do to take advantage of the video. Personalize it by talking to the person that came to your site and saying thanks, with a quick message to them about a webinar or whatever else you would like to promote. If you can get them right after they have opted in, you can really catch their attention while they have you fresh in mind. There is so much more being developed all the time with technology, you just have to grab a hold and do it. You can really impress people with this kind of stuff!

The essence of Affiliate marketing rests on the realities of team work. A majority of marketers enter the realms without having any clue that real work is involved with your home based business. You will hear some organizations tell you that they are plug and play, and you do virtually nothing, don’t believe it. If this was true everyone would be doing this.
The bottom line is, you have to have something to offer before you can build your internet business, and I’m not talking just your product. I mean you. One of the most important things you need to be able to do is offer your recruits support and show them success within the first few weeks they join you. If you recruit with no support you will not make money, and eventually your business will die. The fact is, if you have a reputation for being successful in business building, people will seek you out. They will be calling you to joint your business, and not the other way around. People want to make the decision to join, they don’t want to be chased. Once you can provide people with benefits, your business will grow. This is why you only hear about a handful of successful markets in this marketing world. It really doesn’t take much to get ahead of the competition since most of them don’t know what they are doing any way, so when you have this extra perk to offer, you have already entered the top echelon of marketing gurus.
Take your business to the top, market yourself, and show your benefits to your customers. If you do this, you will find yourself a much happier marketer in the long run.

Did you know that people love to read about your personal experiences? If you are an affiliate marketer, you should have your personal story on your web page so that prospects can read about you and see you are a real person. People like to join those they can relate to.
You should give the article some length and make it fun, and even funny. Tell them about your hobbies, you jobs, your kids, school and anything you can think of that makes you who you are. Someone comes to your web page starts reading through might find you have some common interests and want to take the time to talk to you and maybe join your home based business. When you talk to your prospects on the phone these interests can create great conversation and lead you into trust. It is important to gain trust, so all of this goes hand in hand. This is another step toward good social marketing. If you aren’t doing this, you really need to put a plan in place and start real soon. This is the future of internet business. I found when I wrote my bio, it was a lot of fun, and brought back some great memories.
Sharpen your pencil and start writing, this could be the most valuable marketing tool you ever use. So don’t get left behind!

So you don’t like the way you look on video, and you have avoided doing this as an internet marketing approach. You really need to just do it, video is a very important way of getting yourself in front of your prospects.
You may not realize it, but many people watch videos, and when used correctly you can use them to brand yourself and become more attractive to your audience. Let your passion come out, so that you become someone that people want to follow, after all, it’s your body language that will make or break you in your affiliate marketing efforts. If you act like you are not a leader, weak, this will come out on the video, and you will be flipped off. You want to be a leader, so act like one, and people will be breaking down your door to join you. The good thing about video is that it really costs you nothing to use. There are free site like You Tube, Myspace and many others. You can then use that site to link to your landing page, it’s really easy and it’s effective. So not only can people find you on your own website, they can find you on the video sites also, free advertising!

One of the most important things to remember when you start your own home business is that you must become a leader. Your internet business will not thrive unless you declare this. If people looking to become a business partner with you see that you are not taking on this roll, they will not follow you, and your business will starve.
Affiliate marketing is about attraction marketing, no one is attracted to someone who has nothing to offer, because a good leader has much to learn from. This is why it is important to become good at a system, read and learn as much as you can so that you can offer more and more to the world. People are naturally attracted to someone who carries positive leadership skills. There will never be a business that is lead by a person lacking these skills that can prove to be successful, unless they are good at attracting leaders into their opportunity. Leadership is a learned skill that can be acquired by anyone who transforms their mindset and decides to lead the pack. A follower will not succeed until they transform what they learn into leadership skills of their own, and begin to attract others who are looking to learn from them.
In short, if you wish to become a leader, you must first believe in yourself and make the changes necessary to do so. You must practice the skills, as they will become second nature, and you will then have more to offer the world, and your own success.
