I’ve been marketing for a while now and try to find new ideas and niches for my home business that are not traveled. It seems that so many people use the same techniques over and over again to interest you into the business.
Here are some items that are over used that I feel can be put to bed finally.
1. Stop using the bugging friends and family story.
2. Stop using the cold calling scenario
3. Stop saying the business builds itself plug and play
4. Stop saying that there is no more phone calls.
There are more examples, however, these are the big four I see over use of. Let me explain, since marketing on the Internet has become key to the 21st century, affiliate marketers now use PPC adds, Blog sites and e mail marketing to name a few. The cold calling and bugging friends and family is a thing of the past, and everyone knows this. Stop telling people what they already know. The next are all just plain myths of making money. No business works on plug and play, and if you never intend on calling people, you’ll never sponsor any prospects to your business. There is still and always will be worked involved with running a home based business of this nature. It’s true that people are looking for the lazy rich lifestyle, but people need to realize this doesn’t exist. It is false to think it does. This is why so many marketers enter a business and fail. Advertise real and original scenarios to solve the customers problems. People need to know they must work to succeed.
Come up with new ideas to market your business, people keep seeing the same thing over and over again. What people need is something new and original, and since so many internet marketers keep doing the rerun marketing concept, you are at an advantage if you do something new, go for it.

Do you ever get opt ins that accessed your affiliate marketing site that you can’t call because they are in a different time zone many hours off of your own? You don’t have to fear this any more, the problem is solved.
You can now use video to send to your prospects to your home based business. Thanks to EyeJot, you can now just record a video and send it on the spot. It’s great because you can make it personal and talk right to the person using their name. It also let’s you know when they watched the e-mail so you can send them another while you know they are on line. The best way to build your business is to catch people while they are in the process of looking at business opportunities. If you wait you could miss the moment and find them at a bad time. Timing is everything. The personal video is also great because it is special to them, and will make them feel more important. It is also a good system because some people get defensive on the phone when they think they are being sold on something. It will help tare down the wall, so eventually will be able to talk to them.
Marketing on line is always changing, and keeping you ears open to new techniques is so important. If you catch it in the beginning, people will be impressed with you and this could cause interest in you and your business.

It is important to stay up on the latest technology when it comes to marketing your home based business. Affiliate Marketing can become a breeze when you just stay in touch with the current trends and utilize them.
The video is a very common use item recently, not so much in the earlier years of marketing, but there is so much a person can do to take advantage of the video. There is a site I utilize called Eye Jot Video Email where you can send an email to someone who has just opted into your website. What an easy way to utilize the video to make money! You can make a video on the spot with a web cam. Personalize it by talking to the person that came to your site and saying thanks, with a quick message to them about a webinar or whatever else you would like to promote. If you can get them right after they have opted in, you can really catch their attention while they have you fresh in mind. There is so much more being developed all the time with technology, you just have to grab a hold and do it. You can really impress people with this kind of stuff!
The next time you want to interact with someone in the wee hours of the night without a phone call, send them a video. If you know they are on line, this is perfect, they can check you out without disturbing anyone who may be sleeping

With all of the lay offs and company closings, more people are looking for new ways to make money, and this is the best way. It is also an opportunity to have more time to be with your family and friends. It is a chance to save money on gas from long commutes to work, which will also help you with the wear and tare on your car. The potential to make incredible money is also a huge benefit to this kind of genre. Just think about how you will feel if you don’t have a boss any longer. No more getting up for work in the early mornings before the sun come up. You can now wake up at your own leisure and comfortably enjoy your day. You will still need to work, but you’ll throw away all the stress!
There are more reasons than what I have listed here, so just think about it and fill it in with your dreams. There is so much more to life than answering to a boss, so it’s up to you.

The essence of Affiliate marketing rests on the realities of team work. A majority of marketers enter the realms without having any clue that real work is involved with your home based business. You will hear some organizations tell you that they are plug and play, and you do virtually nothing, don’t believe it. If this was true everyone would be doing this.
The bottom line is, you have to have something to offer before you can build your internet business, and I’m not talking just your product. I mean you. One of the most important things you need to be able to do is offer your recruits support and show them success within the first few weeks they join you. If you recruit with no support you will not make money, and eventually your business will die. The fact is, if you have a reputation for being successful in business building, people will seek you out. They will be calling you to joint your business, and not the other way around. People want to make the decision to join, they don’t want to be chased. Once you can provide people with benefits, your business will grow. This is why you only hear about a handful of successful markets in this marketing world. It really doesn’t take much to get ahead of the competition since most of them don’t know what they are doing any way, so when you have this extra perk to offer, you have already entered the top echelon of marketing gurus.
Take your business to the top, market yourself, and show your benefits to your customers. If you do this, you will find yourself a much happier marketer in the long run.

Did you know that people love to read about your personal experiences? If you are an affiliate marketer, you should have your personal story on your web page so that prospects can read about you and see you are a real person. People like to join those they can relate to.
You should give the article some length and make it fun, and even funny. Tell them about your hobbies, you jobs, your kids, school and anything you can think of that makes you who you are. Someone comes to your web page starts reading through might find you have some common interests and want to take the time to talk to you and maybe join your home based business. When you talk to your prospects on the phone these interests can create great conversation and lead you into trust. It is important to gain trust, so all of this goes hand in hand. This is another step toward good social marketing. If you aren’t doing this, you really need to put a plan in place and start real soon. This is the future of internet business. I found when I wrote my bio, it was a lot of fun, and brought back some great memories.
Sharpen your pencil and start writing, this could be the most valuable marketing tool you ever use. So don’t get left behind!

So you don’t like the way you look on video, and you have avoided doing this as an internet marketing approach. You really need to just do it, video is a very important way of getting yourself in front of your prospects.
You may not realize it, but many people watch videos, and when used correctly you can use them to brand yourself and become more attractive to your audience. Let your passion come out, so that you become someone that people want to follow, after all, it’s your body language that will make or break you in your affiliate marketing efforts. If you act like you are not a leader, weak, this will come out on the video, and you will be flipped off. You want to be a leader, so act like one, and people will be breaking down your door to join you. The good thing about video is that it really costs you nothing to use. There are free site like You Tube, Myspace and many others. You can then use that site to link to your landing page, it’s really easy and it’s effective. So not only can people find you on your own website, they can find you on the video sites also, free advertising!
The next time you shy away from video, think twice, it could be the best thing you do for your marketing efforts. Don’t miss the bus, get aboard, it’s about making money.

So your new to affiliate marketing and have no idea how to get started, or what to look for. Your not alone with this dilemma, so if you follow my lead, I will set you in the right direction. There is so many things you should know before you begin.
Let say you find a product in the home based industry that interests you. The last thing you want to do is just join to get started without knowing anything about the team you are partnering up with. Always opt in to the landing page, and remember to leave your phone number and e mail address. A good team will call you for an interview. This interview is a two way street, the person on the other end of the phone wants to see if you are the kind of person they want as a partner. You should be sure that the person interviewing you is somebody you want to work with. If you don’t hear from somebody after opting in to the internet business site landing page, DO NOT JOIN. This person either has not been trained correctly, or they have to many applicants to work with. You want to join a team that has the time to help you get started and train you to do the business in a successful manner. Up line support is key and very relevant to this kind of marketing. Join a team that will give you the support you need, so, move on and opt in with someone else until the process is followed. Once someone contacts you, and they pass your interview, you can now join their successful team as they will show you how to make money. You can then duplicate your training by helping your down line in the same manner. You are now off to an incredible career and life of satisfaction because you are now in the business of showing people how to improve their lives forever.
Take my word for it, you want to be successful, so join a team that has the same goals, communicates to you, and helps you find solutions for your marketing questions. Remember, they are not there to do the work for you, that is your job. Learn from their lead, and become a leader. This is the perfect recipe for success.

If you are familiar with PPC marketing, you are familiar with Google Adwords. It is a fact to any internet marketer who has used Adwords, that Google doesn’t like us. I use Yahoo Sponsored Search also, and love it. But this is not about Yahoo. I have been using Adwords quite a bit and recently found out just what the Google Smack is all about.
I have been studying hard, a book called the ‘The Definitive Guide to Adwords’ by Perry Marshall. This is really the ultimate book for anyone wanting to learn and up their knowledge of pay per click marketing. As an affiliate marketer I place my ads in this fashion. After tweaking my ads trying to get them better and better, I realized my score stayed real low. I was very confused about this, so I started to look into this further. My score said my landing page was poor, and in fact it is not. Here is the fact, if Google realizes you are a home based business with an affiliate link they slap you, and make it hard to advertise. It’s not really fair, but it is reality. All I could do is slap back by closing my account. Anyway, if you didn’t know what this was, after reading this, you will.
Remember there are other search engines you can use that will appreciate your business, and I suggest you use them. I won’t give Google my money for their service again, after all it defeats my efforts when they pull this game.

I was watching a video today with some very smart internet marketing gurus, Frank Kern and John Reese. They were being interviewed by the incredible Tony Robbins. The interview was concerning why people buy marketing products but never follow through. There was a subject within the conversation that really hit home for me, and I wanted to share this fact with other home business owners.
The reason that many affiliate marketers fail at their new internet business is because of a belief system that they have programed in their head. Most people will join with a short term excitement, approach it wrong, and lose the excitement, then fail and drop out. They didn’t fully believe they could become a successful marketer. Let me give you an example of something you may take for granted. You know that if you get on a bike you could ride it perfect, balance, the whole nine yards. Do you remember when you were a child, and you had to learn? Once you started to have some success at balance for just a few feet you realized you could do it, and never questioned it again. The process can further go into explaining why a power lifter can lift to his limit before failing. It’s all about believing you can do something. If you don’t believe you can, it won’t happen. The most successful marketers had to start from ground one also, and once they saw the potential, and the actions they took brought them the success they desired, it was a no brainer, and they could make money anytime they wanted.
I think it’s easy to see where I’m going with this. If you don’t believe in yourself then you’ve failed right out of the starting gate. You must build confidence within, keep educating your mind so that you have no reason to doubt your true potential.
